Your Data, Your Choices

Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Legacy India Tours ("we", "us") operates legacyindiatours.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use cookies, and the choices available to you — wherever in the world you're visiting from. It's written to reflect the requirements of the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), as well as general good practice for visitors elsewhere.

This page is provided for transparency and is not a substitute for independent legal advice. If you need this policy reviewed for a specific jurisdiction or business requirement, please consult a qualified lawyer before relying on it.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you give us directly — when you submit our contact/enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, country, travel dates, group size, tour interest, and any message you write. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to plan and deliver your trip.
  • Information collected automatically via cookies — described in the next section. Currently this is limited to strictly necessary cookies; no analytics or advertising cookies are active on the site.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Our enquiry emails are sent via Resend, our transactional email provider, acting as a data processor on our behalf.

2. Cookies we use

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We group ours into three categories. You control the non-essential ones via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or anytime through below.

CategoryPurposeDefault
Strictly NecessaryRemembers your cookie preference itself. The site does not currently use any other necessary cookies (e.g. no login sessions or shopping cart).Always on
AnalyticsWould help us understand traffic and site usage (e.g. Vercel Analytics). Not currently active — will only load once you opt in.Off until you opt in
MarketingWould support advertising or remarketing if we ever run campaigns. Not currently in use.Off until you opt in

Because nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies loads until you actively say yes, this satisfies opt-in requirements everywhere they apply, while still giving visitors under opt-out regimes (like CCPA) a straightforward way to say no.

3. Your rights in the EU / UK (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. Non-essential cookies are only set with your affirmative, opt-in consent, which you may withdraw at any time with the same ease it was given.

4. Your rights in California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Because analytics and marketing cookies are off by default, using to keep them off (or turn them off) serves the same function as a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request.

5. Your rights in India (DPDP Act, 2023)

If you are located in India, we process your personal data only with your clear, informed consent (for example, when you submit the enquiry form), and you may withdraw that consent at any time. You have the right to access your data, request correction, and request erasure. To exercise these rights or ask a question, contact us using the details below.

6. Managing your cookie choices

You can change your cookie preferences at any time — no need to clear your browser or wait for the banner to reappear.
